"Off The Beaten Path River Hiking & Waterfall Rappelling Adventure in Puerto Rico"
- Carite Rainforest -

An incredible adventure (Hiking and Waterfall Rappelling) located in the secluded Carite Rainforest near the city of Caguas, Puerto Rico. The forest is only 40 minutes away from San Juan. We provide transportation from San Juan to Isla Verde Touristic Zone and Pre-Selected Meeting Points. This virgin rainforest once inhabited by Taino Indians, is clean and quiet, the water is so pure you can drink it. This tour is consistently chosen as one of the best things to do in Puerto Rico!

As we drive to the location, we will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view through the countryside before reaching base camp. We will visit a beautiful countryside family. This breathtaking, off-the-beaten-path river hike, is suitable for both regular and seasoned hikers. We will start the hike with warm-up steep incline sections, then go up this beautiful pristine river, climbing up and down beautiful reddish colored rocks, and in the process, some entry-level short climbing sections using ropes to pull yourself (Hiking Level Real Off The Beaten Path - Moderate to Challenging with some steep hiking and river trekking sections - Suitable for all Physically Fit People). Emotions come alive as we immerse ourselves in the subtropical rainforest and venture our way to reach the top of the waterfall.

  • First Waterfall (80ft) would be an entry-level/intermediate rappelling experience. Depends on the water level and the participant's skill level. Participants who are afraid of heights and suffer from aquaphobia are not recommended to partake in this adventure.

  • Second Waterfall (25 ft optional) - entry-level.

  • PLEASE BE ADVISED: none of the rappels are obligatory but keep in mind the level and type of hiking involved. PLEASE, READ THE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS.

At the bottom of the first rappel, we will stop in a natural pond surrounded by a lush landscape and the beauty of the canyon made of volcanic rock. You will get to sit down and unwind while enjoying freshly cut tropical fruits such as mangoes and pineapple.

After a great day, you get to enjoy a savory Puerto Rican meal in the countryside (made by Grandma and family), and at the same time, enjoy an amazing panoramic view of the beautiful mountain range of Puerto Rico.
