ADVENTURE INFO
Central Mountain Range
Hiking & Rappelling Adventure
"Off The Beaten Path Hiking & Entry Level Rappelling Adventure in Puerto Rico"
- Private Nature Reserve -

Do you want to know the REAL Puerto Rico? Join us as we go for some Good Hiking and Rappelling - Discover a Beautiful Private Nature Reserve in Puerto Rico. PLEASE NOTE: This is our typical hiking tour, INTO THE MOUNTAINS HIKING & WATERFALLS, but with the addition of two optional, entry-level rappels.

On this adventure (Hiking & Rappelling), we will venture into the Door of the Mountain Range of Puerto Rico. Will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view through the countryside before reaching our exclusive nature reserve (Yes! We are the only ones at the location). We will make a quick stop (5 to 10 min at the most) at a small local bakery for participants to use the bathroom, have a quick coffee, and grab a sandwich if needed. This breathtaking, off-the-beaten-path hike is suitable for both regular and seasoned hikers. The trail will lead us through a well-established path (Hiking Level Real Off The Beaten Path - Moderate to Challenging with some steep hiking and river trekking sections - Suitable for all Physically Fit People). Emotions come alive as we immerse ourselves in the subtropical forest and venture to meet an old centenary native tree at the top of the mountain more than 300 years old. After that, we will continue our journey, visiting three beautiful and unique waterfalls, one of which is 150 feet tall.

  • First Waterfall (optional) would be an entry-level rappelling experience. This waterfall by rope length is about 100ft long but around 70ft to 80ft tall.

  • Second Waterfall. After the first waterfall, we will head out and make our way to the bottom of the Big Waterfall for some Freshly Cut Tropical Fruits. Note: we don't rappel down the Big Waterfall, this one is intermediate level, and sometimes depending on the water level, it could be more into the advanced level. (This tour is for participants who want to go off-the-beaten-path hiking and want to have more of an entry-level rappelling experience)

  • Third Waterfall (optional). To keep this waterfall at an entry level, we rappel outside the waterfall (if we rappel in the waterfall, it's no longer entry level). Please let us know if you know how to swim, due to this rappel ends in a natural pool.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: none of the rappels are obligatory but keep in mind the level and type of hiking involved. PLEASE, READ THE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS.

Before reaching the trail's end, we will stop in a natural pond (optional) surrounded by a lush landscape. You will get to sit down and unwind in a Private Nature Reserve.

After a great day, you get to enjoy a savory Puerto Rican meal in the countryside and at the same time enjoy an amazing panoramic view of the central mountain range of Puerto Rico.

(This hike is tucked away close to the Highest Rainforest Reserve in Puerto Rico, Toro Negro Reserve, Bosque Estatal Tres Pichachos, and the Highest Peak in Puerto Rico Cerro Punta in Jayuya.

For this tour, we provide transportation from a Pre-Selected Meeting Point. Please refer to CONTACT/HOW TO GET THERE on the webpage MENU.
